Overview
Caelumly is a local-first reflection product. This Privacy Policy explains what information is used for the website and app, what changes when optional cloud sync is enabled, and how to use export and deletion controls.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Caelumly website, waitlist, customer support channels, and the Caelumly app. The information involved depends on the features a user chooses, including whether they join the waitlist, contact support, or sign in to enable private cloud sync.
Information we may collect
Depending on the features a user uses, Caelumly may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information such as a waitlist email address, support email, or account email.
- Account and sign-in information needed to provide authenticated cloud sync.
- Reflection entries and related timestamps only when a signed-in user chooses to sync them to the cloud. Entries remain on-device when sync is not enabled.
- Limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and app.
- Support messages, deletion requests, privacy correspondence, and other customer service history.
How we may use information
- To operate the website, waitlist, support workflows, and app features.
- To create, maintain, and secure accounts and optional cloud sync.
- To store and return reflection data when a user chooses cloud sync.
- To improve reliability, accessibility, and product safety.
- To send service-related messages, launch updates, or product notices where appropriate.
- To review, respond to, and document support, privacy, or deletion requests.
Retention and security
Local reflection data remains on a user's device until the user clears it or removes the app. Synced reflection data remains in the account until the user deletes it or permanently deletes the account. Waitlist and support records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose they were collected, support, legal obligations, and dispute resolution.
We aim to use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no website, app, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
User rights, access, and deletion
Users can export reflection data and clear local data through the app. A signed-in user can permanently delete their account and synced data through the in-app account controls. Users may also request access, correction, or deletion by contacting privacy@caelumly.com. General support requests may also be sent to support@caelumly.com.
To help us process a request, users should include the email address associated with the account or waitlist signup and a short description of the request. We may need to verify identity before completing certain requests.
Children's privacy
Caelumly is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to provide their own consent. Do not use Caelumly if you do not meet the minimum age required where you live.
